AUTHORITY ISN’T ABOUT BEING THE LOUDEST PERSON IN THE ROOM
For years, we’ve been taught that visibility is the goal.
More followers.
More content.
More likes.
More reach.
But visibility alone doesn’t create authority.
Authority is something entirely different.
Authority happens when people associate your name with something specific.
A perspective.
An expertise.
A solution.
A feeling.
A reputation.
Think about the people who immediately come to mind when you hear words like leadership, hospitality, marketing, fashion, or innovation.
They aren’t necessarily the loudest voices.
They’re the clearest.
They’ve become known for something.
That’s why I believe the goal isn’t to become famous.
The goal is to become memorable.
To create such a strong association between your name and your expertise that when an opportunity arises, people think of you first.
In The Champagne Method™, I call this The Label.
Before people can trust you, they need to understand you.
Before they can understand you, you need to decide what you want to be known for.
So here’s a question:
What are you known for today?
And what do you want to be known for tomorrow?
If those answers aren’t the same, you’ve just discovered your next opportunity.
Let’s Pour.
Write down three things people consistently come to you for.
1._____________________________________________________
2._____________________________________________________
3._____________________________________________________
Then write down the one thing you’d like to become known for.
_____________________________________________________
The distance between those answers may reveal your next chapter.
